Fundraising Special Events
Consider hosting a special event to raise funds to support Hope Air’s mission!
By planning and executing your own event, you can become a Proud Supporter of Hope Air in your community. It’s a great way to make new contacts, satisfy your philanthropic goals, build community spirit, raise awareness of Hope Air – all with the ultimate goal of helping more children and adults get to the medical care they need!
Ensure your event prices cover your costs and factor in a reasonable amount as a donation to Hope Air.
Event Ideas:
Plane pull at the local airport – with participants raising pledges.
Flying Club BBQ (or breakfast)
"A-thons" (e.g. walk, bike, bowl, yoga, skate, dance)
Battle of the bands – week nights mean many local bands are available.
Book or CD launch
Car (or plane!) wash
Casual Friday at your workplace
Dinner party, or a Dinner & Dance
Fitness challenge
Garage sale
Lemonade stand
Local talent night or Karaoke party
Neighbourhood block party
Pancake breakfast
Scavenger hunt
Spa party
Tournaments (e.g. golf, hockey, billiards, volleyball, dodge ball, bowling, poker, soccer, baseball)
The internet has lots of websites to provide ideas on how to host a special event.
Tell us about your Hope Air Special Event! We’d love to hear your stories and see photos! Please send your story to Hope Air and we may feature you on our website!
Tax receipting for special events is usually not done, for simplicity sake, but if you are considering it, the tax receipt can ONLY be issued to individual donors for the amount in excess of the value of the event. For instance, if the dinner costs $40, but tickets are $60, the tax receipt can only be issued for $20. A full list of names and addresses must be provided to Hope Air for tax receipts to be issued.

Whatever your event, Hope Air encourages you to promote safety;
