(TORONTO – March 11, 2021)
Hope Air – Canada’s leading charity providing flights and accommodations to those in need of medical care far from home – is delighted to announce its support from Radisson Hotel Group to provide free accommodations for patients who must travel.
Radisson Hotel Group has donated 5.8 million Radisson Rewards points – which is approximately 150 nights worth of accommodations – for Canadian patients for the first months of 2021. Radisson Rewards is Radisson Hotel Group’s global rewards program. These Radisson Rewards points will be used to book hotel stays for patients who are in financial need and have to travel long distances to reach medical care. The points for medical stays can be used at all Radisson Hotels, including locations in Toronto and Vancouver. Hope Air started providing free accommodations in 2019, and these new rewards points will assist greatly with that program.
“We are delighted to welcome Radisson Hotel Group to the Hope Air family and grateful for their generous gift to help patients with their accommodation needs,” said Mark Rubinstein, CEO
of Hope Air. “Through their support, Hope Air patients will be provided with essential accommodations.”
“Radisson Hotel Group is all about delivering personalized and one-of-a-kind experiences to create memorable moments for our guests,” said Ann Silver
, Senior Director
, Loyalty Delivery, Americas, Radisson Hotel Group. “As soon as we learned about Hope Air and their incredible mission, we wanted to do our part to make a difference in the lives of people facing the hardships of being diagnosed with a critical illness. We wanted to lend a helping hand and provide a home away from home during their travels.

About Hope Air
Hope Air is Canada’s only national charity providing free travel and accommodations for Canadians in financial need who must access medical care far from home. Since its inception in 1986, Hope Air has provided more than 150,000 travel arrangements for patients inclusive of all ages and medical needs.
For people living on a low income in small and rural communities, distance and cost are very real barriers to accessing vital medical care. Hope Air is a unique and essential part of our Canadian healthcare system. Without the access Hope Air provides, our national system of universal healthcare coverage would fall short of its promise. Hope Air has been chosen as one of Canada’s best 100 charities by Maclean’s magazine, MoneySense magazine and Charity Intelligence based on efficiency, transparency and need.
