Eligibility Criteria for the Bridge or Ferry Pass

To be eligible for a free Confederation Bridge toll pass, you must meet the following criteria:  

• Financial Needs: Demonstrate financial need, which may include low income or other financial hardships.  
• Medical Appointment: Have a confirmed medical appointment that is covered by the PEI healthcare plan. This ensures that the medical service you are traveling for is recognized and necessary.  

• Health PEI Letter: an Out-of-Province Approval letter from Health PEI must be provided to confirm that you require out-of-province medical care. You should have received this via mail from Health PEI. If you have not received this letter, please contact Health PEI;
