Floyd flew over 10,000 km
for patients in 2024

Meet Floyd, one of Hope Air’s volunteer pilots.

2024 saw Floyd flying more than 10,000 kilometres in his own plane to help patients from remote communities with no other options reach life-saving care.

He’s met families, heard their stories, and turned their fear into relief as they soared towards healthcare.

In honour of every kilometre he’s flown, Floyd is matching all donations up to $10,000 until June 6, Hope Air Day— so every $1 you give becomes $2 — and every dollar helps patients travel 2 km.

Join the movement

Every day, patients across Canada are forced to travel unimaginable distances just to see a doctor or receive treatment.

On Hope Air Day, we shine a light on the urgent need for equitable access to care. We are asking all Canadians to join us in raising awareness for Hope Air Day.

WHERE you live should not determine IF you live

Millions of Canadians living far from specialized care are left out of our healthcare system.

For people living in rural, remote and under-served communities, unique barriers to access healthcare exist.

Hope Air provides patients in financial need with free airline, hotel, meals and airport ground transportation when travelling far from home to receive the care they deserve.

In 2024, we served patients from over 642 communities. Wherever our patients reside, we work to ensure families stay in their hometown and keep our patients close to work and family.

Be part of the journey

Hope Air exists to make sure distance isn’t a barrier. And right now, you can be part of that mission in a meaningful way.

Until Hope Air Day on June 6, our generous volunteer pilot Floyd will match your donation be dollar for dollar up to $10,000 — turning your impact into twice the distance. Every $1 = 2 km of travel for someone who needs it.

Let’s see how many kilometres we can cover together by June 6 — Hope Air Day. Whether you give or share — you’re helping make health care more accessible for Canadians who live far from it.

We acknowledge that we live and work on the unceded, traditional territories of many Indigenous peoples. We are grateful for the privilege of being on lands that these peoples have nurtured since time immemorial.
