2025 Haul for Hope Waiver
HOPE AIR PHOTOGRAPH, VIDEO AND RECORDING CONSENT, WAIVER, INDEMNITY AND RELEASE AGREEMENT (“AGREEMENT”) In consideration of participating in Hope Air’s Haul for Hope activity (the “Activity”), taking place at all locations

I represent that I understand the nature of aircraft and/or firetruck pulling events and that I am qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate in the Activity. I acknowledge that if I believe the Activity or the conditions in which the Activity takes place are unsafe, I will immediately discontinue participation in the Activity.

I fully understand that aircraft and/or firetruck pulling events and onsite entertainment programs involve risks of serious bodily injury, including permanent disability, paralysis and death, which may be caused by my own actions or inactions, or those of others participating in the Activity, the conditions in which the Activity takes place, or the negligence of the “Releasees” named below; and that there may be other risks either not known to me or not readily foreseeable at this time; and I fully accept and assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, costs, and damages I incur as a result of my participation in the Activity.

By attending the Activity in person, I acknowledge and am aware that COVID-19 has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization, is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and that I am fully aware that attending the Activity in person carries with it certain inherent risks related to COVID-19 transmission that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid such risks. I voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending and/or traveling to the Activity in person and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.

I agree that I will not attend the Activity in person if I feel ill, exhibit any of the symptoms commonly associated with COVID-19, or am required to stay home in accordance with local public health guidance or as advised by a doctor, healthcare provider or public health unit.

I hereby release and discharge Hope Air, all venues, partners and hosts, WestJet, Porter Airlines and their parent, management, and affiliated companies, and their respective administrators, directors, agents, officers, volunteers, and employees, other participants, any sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises on which the Activity takes place, (each considered one of the “RELEASEES” herein) from liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages on my account caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the “Releasees” or otherwise, including negligent rescue operations; and I further agree that if, despite this release, waiver of liability, and assumption of risk, I or anyone on my behalf, makes a claim against any of the Releasees, I will indemnify, save, and hold harmless each of the Releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or cost which any may incur as the result of such claim.

I hereby irrevocably grant to Hope Air and the Releasees my permission to use my name, photograph, and/or likeness, in any and all media or formats in connection with publicity, advertising, marketing or promotion of Hope Air, Haul for Hope or event partners without receiving further consent or permission.

I acknowledge and agree that Hope Air and all Releasees are entitled to unlimited use of my name, photograph, and/or likeness and shall be entitled to edit the same. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless, Hope Air and all Releasees from any and all claims I have or may have by reason of, or in relation to use of my name, photograph, and/or likeness.

I state that I have carefully read the foregoing Agreement, understand the contents, and sign this Agreement of my own free will. I have read this Agreement, and understand that I have given up substantial rights by agreeing and have agreed freely and without any inducement or assurance of any nature and intend it be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law and agree that if any portion of this Agreement is held to be invalid, then the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue in full force and effect.
