October 11, 2024 – Hope Air: Canada’s only national charity providing equitable access to medical care far from home by offering free travel and accommodation assistance, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Molkoski to its National Advisory Council.
Matt currently serves as the Director of Digital Products at Oliver Wyman Vector, a technical services firm specializing in the aerospace, aviation, defense, rail, and maritime sectors worldwide. With a background in aerospace systems engineering, Matt’s diverse experience encompasses detailed systems engineering, software development and design, aviation software implementation, business process analysis, and aviation business improvement.
Matt holds a Bachelors of Engineering – Aerospace Electronics and Systems from Carleton University.
“Growing up, my great grandparents came from Geraldton, Ontario. Geraldton’s about a three hour drive from Thunder Bay. I still remember stories of my aunt driving my uncle three hours there, and three hours back to get the care they needed. Hope Air’s mission resonates because there are so many communities in Ontario that are even further, and people who need support to get the care they need. My hope is that by joining the National Advisory Council, I can use my skills and experience to help grow and support Hope Air’s mission even further,” said Matt.
“We are delighted to welcome Matt Molkoski to Hope Air’s National Advisory Council,” said Mark Rubinstein, Chief Hope Officer at Hope Air. “We are confident that Matt’s background, connection to aviation, and drive to support underserved communities will greatly strengthen Hope Air’s ability to fulfill our mission.”
About Hope Air
Hope Air is Canada’s national charity providing free travel support through flights, accommodations, meals and ground transportation for Canadians in financial need who must access medical care far from home. Since its inception in 1986, Hope Air has provided more than 200,000 travel arrangements for patients regardless of age or medical need. For people living on a low income in small and rural communities, distance and cost are very real barriers to them accessing vital medical care. Hope Air is a unique and essential part of our Canadian healthcare system. Without the free access to health care that Hope Air provides, our national system of universal healthcare coverage would fall short of its promise. For more information, visit hopeair.ca.
