At St. John’s International Airport on Friday, the Haul for Hope event had sponsored teams pulling an airport firetruck 100 metres across the tarmac, raising about $50,000 for Hope Air. The organization helped over 900 people in the province with their medical travel expenses last year, for costs beyond those covered by government. CBC’s John Harris reports.
