Government of Newfoundland and Labrador

The Give Hope Wings expedition kicked off with a very special stop in St. John’s! We were thrilled to bring the expedition to the province, celebrate Hope Air’s 40th anniversary alongside our partners in Newfoundland and Labrador, and present the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador with their Hope Air Patron Award, recognizing their continued commitment to helping patients access the medical care they need.

Across Newfoundland and Labrador, long distances and complex travel logistics can make accessing specialized medical care difficult for patients and families.

In 2025, Hope Air supported 890 patient and escort trips, representing 3,406 medical travel arrangements across the province, including flights, accommodation, meals, and ground transportation. Patients from more than 100 communities were able to reach care both within the province and beyond.

Provincial partnerships and new pilot initiatives are helping Hope Air provide upfront, no-cost travel support to eligible residents while reducing barriers related to cost and coordination.

As Hope Air celebrates 40 years of service, we are proud to recognize the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador as a Hope Air Patron. Thank you for your partnership and commitment to improving equitable access to healthcare for patients across the province.
