Hope Air Welcomes Amex GBT's Patrick Doyle to National Advisory Council

Hope Air – Canada’s only national charity providing free flights and travel support to Canadians in need of medical care far from home – is delighted to announce the addition of Patrick Doyle to the Hope Air National Advisory Council.

Doyle is Vice President and General Manager for Canada at American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT), the world’s leading B2B travel platform. Doyle’s expertise in travel and management is a natural fit to support Hope Air’s goal of providing more patients in need with travel support for their vital medical appointments. Coupled with his extensive participation in travel and tourism advocacy, Hope Air looks forward to gaining valuable insights into how we can better serve Canadians requiring financial support to travel. Doyle’s leadership will help Hope Air build on our mission to bridge the distance between home and hospital by providing full-service travel and accommodation to those in need.

“Hope Air exemplifies the power of travel as a force for good,” said Patrick Doyle, Vice President and General Manager for Canada, Amex GBT. “I’m honored to join their National Advisory Council and strengthen their commitment to connecting Canadians with the healthcare they need.”

Doyle oversees the strategic account management, traveller care, and loyalty businesses in Canada to support Amex GBT’s reward fulfillment programs. His strategic vision and leadership continues to position Amex GBT as one of Canada’s premier travel management companies servicing 500+ client relationships across global, multinational and SME segments encompassing industry verticals from technology to government, finance and manufacturing.

He is active across many industry and volunteer organizations including GBTA Canada’s Advisory Board, Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) Board of Directors, the Canadian Travel & Tourism Roundtable and a member of the Toronto Metropolitan University’s Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Advisory Council.

“We are thrilled to have Patrick onboard the National Advisory Council,” said Mark Rubinstein, Chief Executive Officer at Hope Air, “As the need for travel to medical care continues to grow post-pandemic, we look forward to scaling our mission and serving more Canadians with Patrick’s support and insight.”
