Across British Columbia, access to specialized medical care often depends on reliable regional connections. For nearly two decades, Pacific Coastal Airlines has helped ensure that Hope Air patients from smaller and rural communities can reach the care available in Vancouver and other major centres, when timing, reliability, and trust matter most.
As Hope Air celebrates 40 years of service, we are proud to recognize Pacific Coastal Airlines as a Hope Air Patron, the highest distinction awarded by our charity. This honour reflects an enduring partnership rooted in shared values of community care, equity, and compassion for patients facing the burden of long-distance medical travel.
Over the past 19 years, Pacific Coastal Airlines has provided more than 7,000 flights for Hope Air patients. These flights have helped remove the financial and logistical barriers that can otherwise force patients to delay care, navigate exhausting travel routes, or take on unmanageable debt to access treatment. By ensuring reliable, dependable access to care, this partnership helps patients focus on their health rather than the complexity of getting there.
Pacific Coastal Airline’s impact extends beyond the runway. Through initiatives such as its 31st Annual Memorial Charity Golf Tournament, the airline brings together staff, partners, and supporters to raise critical funds for organizations improving lives across British Columbia. In 2024, the tournament raised an incredible $120,000 in support of two provincial charities, including Hope Air, as well as three scholarships delivered in partnership with the British Columbia Aviation Council.
As Hope Air enters its fifth decade, we thank Pacific Coastal Airlines for standing with patients year after year. Together, we continue to ensure that geography and financial hardship never stand in the way of accessing essential medical care.
