Gordon Roberts

For more than 17 years, Gordon Roberts has been a remarkable force behind Hope Air’s Volunteer Pilot Program, generously donating his time, expertise, and aircraft to help Canadians access the medical care they need.

Since joining the program in 2008, Gordon has completed an extraordinary 172 flights, connecting patients from communities across Ontario with essential healthcare services in Ottawa, Toronto, and beyond. His commitment has eased the burden of travel for hundreds of individuals and families facing some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

Based in Stouffville, Gordon has combined his lifelong passion for aviation with a deep commitment to community service. Through every flight, he has helped make healthcare more accessible for patients travelling from remote and underserved communities, transforming what could be long and difficult journeys into safe, efficient travel experiences.

Gordon’s dedication has not gone unnoticed. In 2014, he was honoured with the Volunteer Pilot Program’s Distinguished Volunteer Pilot Award, recognizing his exceptional contributions and unwavering commitment to Hope Air’s mission.

Over nearly two decades of service, Gordon has exemplified the very best of volunteerism. His generosity, reliability, and compassion have made a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients, while inspiring others within the aviation community to use their skills in service of others.
