Last year, more people than ever turned to Hope Air for help getting to the care they needed.
After a 140% increase in demand in 2023, the generosity of generous supporters like you made it possible to support even more patients in 2024.
In 2024 alone, your compassion helped provide more than 45,940 travel arrangements, an 85% increase over 2023 and a remarkable response to the growing need across Canada.
Thanks to you, families in over 642 rural, remote and underserved communities could stay connected to home, work, and loved ones while accessing essential medical care far away.
If you’d like to see the difference you made, in your own community and across the country, take a look at our interactive map.

Real Stories. Real Journeys. Real Impact.
Theodore
1,500 km to healthcare
Diagnosis: Heart Defect (HLHS)
At 8 months, Theodore has already had one heart surgery and awaits his second, with a third planned for age two or three.
The specialized cardiac care he needs is in Toronto, 1,500 kilometers away from his home in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Thanks to Hope Air, his family don’t have to relocate for his lifesaving medical care and today Theo is thriving.
Diamond
735 km to regular cancer treatment
Diagnosis: Hodgkin's lymphoma (cancer)
When 15-year-old Diamond was diagnosed cancer, closest treatment available was Toronto, over 700 km away.
Diamond underwent 4 rounds of chemotherapy over 4 months, with numerous complications in between.
Diamond rang the bell but still travels every 3 months for her follow up appointments at Sickkids Hospital.
Sabrina
450 km to treatment, every 3 months
Diagnosis: Interstitial Cystitis
Since childhood, Sabrina has lived with chronic and worsening pain.
Living in a small town in Northern Ontario, she was unable to access the care she needed close to home until she found Hope Air.
After six surgeries and countless procedures, her health journey is ongoing. She travels every three months for appointments, but with peace of mind.

Every day, patients across Canada are forced to travel unimaginable distances just to see a doctor or receive treatment. Hope Air exists to make sure distance isn’t a barrier.
Today, you can be part of that mission in a meaningful way, helping twice the patients reach the healthcare they deserve, no matter how far from home.
One of our pilots and his wife are stepping up even further. Taking generosity they show in the skies and bringing it down to the ground. They’re offering to match every gift, up to $20,000.
Our dedicated pilots don’t just fly patients, they are lifelines, making medical care accessible for Canadians who would otherwise face long, difficult, or impossible journeys.
Behind every flight is a family simply trying to get the care they need; parents missing work, seniors travelling alone, patients pushed beyond their limits by distance.
This $20,000 matching offer expires on Giving Tuesday. Please make your gift before December 3 to ensure we can unlock its full potential.
