Jon Collins – Chief Development Officer

Hope Air – a national charity providing Canadians in financial need with flights and accommodations to access medical care far from home – announced today the appointment of Jon Collins as Chief Development Officer. In this role, Jon will lead all fundraising, marketing and communication programs on behalf of Hope Air. As chief development officer, Jon will oversee a diverse and dedicated group of Hope Air stakeholders, donors, volunteers and partners that passionately support the Hope Air mission. Building on the dedication and commitment of our Hope Air team, Jon will provide innovative leadership ensuring ongoing growth and support for our work.

Prior to joining Hope Air, Jon served as Vice-President, Marketing & Fundraising for Parkinson Canada, a leading Canadian health charity. Jon has a track record of driving significant revenue growth through building supporter-centred campaigns that are grounded in connection to charitable mission and strong stewardship of partnerships, events and foundation relationships. “We are delighted to welcome Jon to the Hope Air team,” said Mark Rubinstein, CEO. “His energy, his experience and his commitment to our vision, will be well received by the greater Hope Air community. Together with our talented Hope Air staff, we are excited to have Jon as a member of our leadership team as we continue to ensure that no Canadian is left behind when needing to reach important medical care.”

“I arrive at Hope Air acutely aware of the gap between universal health care and access to it”, says Jon. “Growing up in rural Nova Scotia, my family benefitted from similar services designed to relieve a significant point of stress at an already difficult time and I am honoured to help Hope Air and its donors do the same. In my role, I look forward to raising awareness of Hope Air, its important mission and the communities it serves while honouring the philanthropic goals of individual, corporate and foundation supporters.”
