R. Howard Webster Foundation

For four decades, the R. Howard Webster Foundation has supported Hope Air from its earliest days, standing alongside the organization as it worked to build pathways to medical care for patients travelling long distances.

As we celebrate 40 years of Hope Air service, we are proud to recognize the R. Howard Webster Foundation as a Hope Air Patron, the highest distinction awarded by our charity. This honour reflects a relationship rooted in trust, shared purpose, and a long-standing belief that access to medical care should never depend on geography or financial circumstances.

The designation is meant to honour those who have had a long-term or significant impact on Hope Air since its founding. The R. Howard Webster Foundation is among few who can claim they’ve truly been there since the very beginning.

The Foundation’s support dates back to Hope Air’s formative years. Its first grant to Mission Air in 1987 helped establish critical operational capacity at a time when the organization was still taking shape. That early investment laid the groundwork for systems, outreach, and public awareness efforts that strengthened Hope Air’s ability to serve patients across Canada.

Over time, the R. Howard Webster Foundation continued to invest in Hope Air’s growth, supporting behind the scenes infrastructure and initiatives that allowed the organization to evolve and respond to patient need. These contributions helped ensure that patients and families facing the burden of medical travel were not left to navigate that journey alone.

The R. Howard Webster Foundation’s philanthropic legacy is defined by thoughtful stewardship, long term commitment, and meaningful impact. These values align deeply with Hope Air’s mission and have helped build capacity that continues to support patients today.

As we look ahead, we are deeply grateful for the R. Howard Webster Foundation’s partnership and for its belief in Hope Air’s work since the very beginning. Together, we remain committed to ensuring that Canadians can access the medical care they need, no matter where they live.
