(TORONTO, MARCH 27, 2023) Hope Air – Canada’s only National charity providing full-service travel and accommodations to Canadians in need of medical care far from home – is delighted to announce the addition of Stephen Tapp to the Hope Air National Advisory Council.

Tapp is an internationally recognized leader in media, technology and real estate solutions, with a history of serving on for-profit and non-profit boards, particularly those supporting community building and health care.

“As I learned about the Hope Air cause, it became so tangible, and the value proposition truly resonated with me,” said Tapp. “There are so many concrete examples of stories from Canadians that I could truly appreciate – diagnoses that were hard to imagine in the best of situations, let alone needing to travel for hours, often multiple times, at significant personal expense just to try to get well. When you are sick and in need of health care, all you should have to focus on is the treatment and getting better, not the logistics.”

“I know from personal experience that Stephen passionately cares about people and helping those in need”, said Mark Rubinstein, Chief Executive Officer at Hope Air, “As a business executive with experience across many sectors, his expertise will add significantly to the work and impact of our Advisory Council.”
