Tom Osborne appointed to Hope Air Board of Directors

(October 24, 2024) Hope Air is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Osborne, St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador to its Board of Directors, effective October 15, 2024.

Tom Osborne’s distinguished public service career includes serving as a Member of the Newfoundland & Labrador House of Assembly for Waterford Valley, St. John’s from 1996-2024.

While in government, Osborne held multiple cabinet portfolios including Labour, Justice, Finance and most recently as Minister of Health and Community Services. As Minister, Osborne led the provincial government’s initiatives on a broad range of health care issues including reduction in emergency department closures, enhancing health care service delivery, improving the government prescription drug plan, the development of the 811-health line and addressing key health human resource pressures. His extensive experience in government includes governance, policy development and strategic financial management.

In May 2024, Osborne retired from politics, and presently serves as General Manager for the Dairy Farmers Newfoundland & Labrador.
